David Moore and Andrew Crook, NOVA Buford, just finished a subsurface tank location for the South Carolina Department of Transportation using 3D Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology. GPR images indicated the exact location of a tank and lines buried ±1.75 feet below the parking lot surface. 3D with color imagery makes it much easier to see below grade objects, compared to 2D scans. NOVA professionals were able to see up to 6 feet below the surface on this project site.
