Just another day in the life of a special inspector who flies that extra mile to ensure projects are upheld to all safety standards. Featured in this photo, NOVA’s Construction Materials Testing Manager is performing a welding inspection inside a concrete tilt-up stairwell. The only access to this area was to be flown in a crane basket 100 feet into the air, over the building, lowered into the shaft to perform the inspection, then flown back over the building to land safely on the ground. This one photo demonstrates a small fraction of what special inspectors do as a job requirement. At NOVA, we appreciate all that our professionals do every day to keep project operations running smoothly, and most importantly, safely. Thank you for always flying that extra mile!
