NOVA recently received an invitation to visit Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s (GNTC) Construction Management class and we didn’t hesitate to accept this opportunity. It was truly an honor for NOVA to be welcomed into the academic community while engaging with GNTC during their “Contractor Day” held at the Gordon County Campus in Calhoun, Georgia. NOVA’s Construction Materials Testing Business Unit Manager, Jim Peshel and Project Coordinator, Jeff Longshore, represented the NOVA Team during this great event.
We commend GNTC for its commitment to providing quality education and fostering connections between academia and industry. The initiative to invite professionals into the classroom not only enriches the educational experience for students but also strengthens the bridge between classroom knowledge and practical application.
Our team was enthusiastic about sharing insights, experiences, and industry perspectives with the Construction Management students. We believe that such collaborations play a vital role in shaping the future of these young professionals, and NOVA is eager to contribute to their learning journey.
We appreciate the effort that GNTC puts into preparing students for success in the construction industry, and we look forward to continued engagement in the future.
We’d like to thank Donny Holmes, GNTC Construction Management instructor, on this gracious invitation. We valued the opportunity to connect with these students and contribute to the growth and development of their aspiring career goals. Technical education holds immense significance in today’s rapidly evolving and complex world. It plays a crucial role in shaping individuals, industries, and societies by providing specialized skills, knowledge, and practical expertise. Keep up the great work students and GNTC!
