NOVA Columbia Welcomes James Devereaux

September 10, 2020

Please join us in welcoming another asset to our team. James “Jim” Devereaux, PE has 26+ years of diverse geotechnical, environmental and materials testing engineering experience and has joined NOVA as a Geotechnical Engineer.  He has hit the ground running and will be heading up our Columbia, South Carolina operations.

Mr. Devereaux served our country as a United States Marine for 30 years, including 3 deployments overseas. During his time in the military, he earned several medals for his exceptional service. His excellent work ethic continued into the engineering field where he has earned PE licensing in 8 states and built a solid foundation of knowledge across all client types. A jack of all trades, Mr. Devereaux is also a published author of Points of Honor and donates a portion of the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project and Purple Heart Homes of North Carolina.

On top of all of his career success, Mr. Devereaux’s family is where his true joy lies. He and wife of 14 years, Sherri, have 4 wonderful children, three beautiful daughters-in-law, a great son-in-law, and their first charming grandson, Adam, who is coming up on 14 months old. Weekends are spent cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks and steering clear of all things bacon (he HATES bacon).

Welcome, Jim!  Feel free to contact him at 803.309.3475 or jdevereaux@usanova.com.
