NOVA is proud to announce its employees’ voluntary efforts in supporting the local community through the recent participation in a pop-up grocery market initiative. Amidst the ongoing challenges of ending unnecessary food waste and fighting hunger, TeamNOVA demonstrated their commitment to community welfare by dedicating their time and energy to assist at a local pop-up grocery market held at Hiram High School in Paulding County, Georgia.
The pop-up grocery market, organized in partnership with Goodr and Wellstar Health System, aims to address the immediate needs of individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community while also cultivating resources to eliminate food waste for the greater good. The Goodr model provides the technology and logistics to track an organization’s surplus food from pickup to donation, delivering real-time social and environmental impact analytics. With the support of dedicated volunteers, this effort helps ensure that nutritious food reaches those who need it the most. Goodr joined forces with Wellstar to provide a series of mobile food markets to communities in need. Through the mobile markets, Goodr provides fresh produce, meat, shelf stable items, milk, and other beverages.
The participation of NOVA employees in this initiative underscores the company’s core values of responsibility, collaboration, and responsiveness to our community. It reflects our belief in the importance of giving back and supporting those in need, especially during challenging times. An effort we’re proud to call NOVA in Your Neighborhood.
Thank you Goodr and Wellstar Health System for your commitment to help advance the mission to “Feed More. Waste Less.” We also would like to thank TeamNOVA for donating your time and energy to this incredible event. Good job everyone!
