NOVA is a proud proponent to fostering local education and pouring into our future leaders. Most recently, NOVA engineers contributed to Awtrey Middle School’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program in Kennesaw, GA.
Understanding the critical role STEM education plays in shaping young minds for the future, NOVA chose to support Awtrey’s Donor Chose project, “Stools for STEM”, that helped provide new stools for the school’s STEM lab. This contribution aims to enhance the school’s capacity to provide innovative learning experiences, equip classrooms with cutting-edge technology, and inspire a passion for STEM subjects among students.
NOVA believes that investing in education is an investment in the community’s prosperity. Supporting Awtrey Middle School’s STEM program aids in the development of thinkers and problem-solvers who will drive progress and innovation. NOVA is committed to corporate social responsibility – emphasizing the importance of collaboration between local businesses and educational institutions.
Ms. Kerrie Poirot, Earth Science Teacher at Awtrey Middle School, stated “the moment the boxes arrived at our school, the excitement among the students was incredible. Unboxing the stools became an event in itself, and the joy on the faces of our students was truly heartwarming. It was a powerful reminder of the impact that a community’s support can have on the educational experience of our students. The stools have transformed our STEM lab in more ways than we could have imagined. One of the most significant advantages is the flexibility they provide in terms of seating arrangements. The ability to easily move and rearrange the stools has enhanced collaborative learning experiences for our students.”
NOVA is proud to be part of a community that values education and actively contributes to the growth and development of its youth!
